Client Success
International experiential agency, George P. Johnson were looking for someone to turn around the accommodation element of a project to become a financially viable, fully supported customer service add-on to an annual European event.
I built up a great working relationship with the end client and explored numerous European cities: Dublin, Barcelona, Vienna, Milan, Copenhagen and Berlin.
By understanding the client’s event accommodation aims, analysing previous year’s statistics and booking patterns, scrutinising client’s predicted attendee numbers and close monitoring and utilisation of release dates, I reduced attrition over the four years by over 70%.
Accommodation moved from being a cost of the event with attrition penalties significantly higher than accommodation income, to becoming a revenue generator for the project, as well as a value added service offered to attendees, and logistic solution for employees, Executives, VIP’s and crew.

Baxter4 Solutions
I started freelancing for George P. Johnson in 2015 across the Registration and Event Logistics departments. My background in Event Management and former Hotel Revenue Manager experience enabled me to hit the ground running with an understanding of event logistics and priorities, an ability to negotiate confidently with hotels, together with an understanding of their operational capabilities and constraints. I have a positive, proactive way of working and quickly forged strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
As Accommodation Project Manager, I lead the overall hotel provision on two European corporate exhibition and conference events for 3,000 and 8,000 attendees, managing the accommodation provision for delegates, employees, VIPs, talent and crew.
As an Event Manager, I provided pre-event planning, build management, health and safety, client liaison, catering and onsite support for UK and European events including Cisco Collaboration, Lisbon; Cisco Live, Berlin; and Magento Live, London.

I supported Sam in meetings with her Solicitor via Zoom so she could concentrate on maximising the outcome of each meeting.
During the meetings, I took minutes, kept her focused on the task at hand to ensure the agenda points were covered, and was able to prompt her to raise any questions or points we had identified beforehand.
Between meetings, I kept Sam on track with the actions, processes and timelines that she had set through gentle reminders and supported her through the completion of legal paperwork.
It was a pleasure to offer support to Sam over this time, to see her confidence grow and gain faith in her abilities again.

I have used Rachel to assist with meetings; she has a fantastic ability to keep me focused on the agenda, whilst ensuring keen attention to detail and providing detailed, actionable minutes.
The follow-up diary management and reminders have kept me on track with action points after the meetings which is excellent.
I implicitly trusted Rachel with every project that we worked on together, her personal time and effort management skills are second to none and I never needed to chase up a task or extend a deadline.
Rachel is quick to grasp key issues quickly and is proactive in suggesting strategic, commercial and most importantly of all realistic solutions.
Possessing a disarming warmth and a wicked sense of humour, Rachel works effectively with everyone - regardless of technical, social or cultural background - and will no doubt continue to excel at everything that she does. Thumbs up from me!
