About Me

Welcome to Lime Pi

Hi, I’m Rachel, founder of Lime Pi and natural-born organiser with a love of admin and spreadsheets.

I know what it feels like when something’s just got to give, when you’re simply not reaching your potential, struggling to sleep at night, and feel like nothing and no one around you is getting the attention they deserve.

It’s easy for entrepreneurs and contractors to fall victim of their own success. With few, if any support staff, you’re stretched too thin, at full capacity and feel like you’re working 24/7.

That is exactly why I have drawn upon my 20 years experience in event and project management. I’ve found that: attention to detail, initiative, problem-solving, project and deadline management, admin and a focus on clients and their customers’ needs are incredibly transferable and desirable skills, which has enabled me to add Virtual Assistant services to my portfolio.

When you hire me as your VA you will be able to utilise your time more effectively, work smarter and regain control, so you can focus on your priorities; be that business development or creating a better work-life balance – live the life that you deserve!

Feel more organised, less overwhelmed and more in control.

The values I believe in

Knowing my values enables me to connect with like-minded people and organisations who share the same values, helping us to build positive working relationships which keeps clients coming back.

Strong work ethic - conscientious, reliable and accountable.
Integrity - acting with the greatest of integrity at all times.
Confidentiality - my support is fully confidential and trustworthy.
Respect - in all directions: self-respect, respect for others and mutual respect.
People - forging strong relationships and genuinely caring about you and your business.

Look no further for reliable business support

Why choose a VA over an employee?

Once you’ve made the decision that you need support, why wait? Delays caused by the recruitment process and notice periods can be frustrating. A VA can get to work immediately, ploughing through your to-do list before a potential employee has even completed their notice period.

A VA offers flexibility – you can ‘buy’ adhoc hours as required or retainer packages from just 10 hours a month, with the flexibility to roll hours from one month to the next.

You may be surprised to learn that working with a VA can be cost effective – no overheads and you only pay for the time taken to complete a task.

As a business owner myself, I understand what goes into building your own business.  You’ve nurtured it this far, I will treat your business with care, as if it were my own.

I transitioned from employee to freelancer in 2015 to facilitate an improved work-life balance, and subsequently launched Lime Pi Ltd in 2018.

I have drawn upon my 20 years’ experience in event and project management and found that: attention to detail, initiative, problem-solving, project and deadline management, admin and a focus on clients and their customers’ needs are incredibly transferable and desirable skills, which has enabled me to add Virtual Assistant services to my portfolio.

For over five years, I’ve managed large scale event accommodation projects for up to 8,000 delegates, maximising client and delegate satisfaction whilst minimising attrition and penalty charges.

As a former Hotel Revenue Manager, I have an understanding of both sides of the relationship which gives me the ability to negotiate confidently with hotels, together with an understanding of their operational capabilities and constraints.

I have a distinction in NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH – National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health).

During my time at ExCeL London I managed a wide variety of types of events, including exhibitions. These projects included reviewing exhibition floor plans, space only stand plans, set and stage plans and overseeing the event build process onsite and Structural Engineer sign off process.

I project managed the migration of 35 author websites for Penguin Random House, and as such I gained an insight into the world of a Creative and how I can help authors, illustrators and designers focus on what they do best and support them by taking on admin tasks and projects.
